ABOUT ME

Harry Baker is a 5th year student in the Architectural Engineering department at Pennsylvania State University. He is in the structural option. He plans to graduate in December of the 2018/2019 academic school year with an integrated Bachelor and Master degree in Architectural engineering.

Harry has had one summer (2017) of interning experience. He interned at Cagley and Associates, a structural design consulting firm in Rockville Maryland. While at Cagley and Associates, Harry worked on a variety of projects including, hospitals, residential towers, and office buildings. He was tasked with reviewing shop drawings, 3D modeling lateral and gravity systems, steel beam design, and wood post design, among other tasks. Through his internship with Cagley and Associates Harry was able to make the necessary connections to receive permission to use The Generic Building Name in his thesis project.

As a student at Penn State University Harry has been involved in the PSU student chapter of SEA (Structural Engineering Association). During the summer of 2016, Harry took part in the Architectural engineering China Study abroad program. While in China, Harry took courses at Tsinghua University in Beijing and at The University of Hong Kong. The courses included an architectural studio, a city planning course and a international construction course.

Outside of the school and the work environment, Harry enjoys staying active by playing soccer, hiking and bike riding.
